Fresh Produce
At National Basket, our fresh produce division is built on a fully integrated farm-to-market model, combining owned agricultural assets with a strong network of associated farmers across Canada. This approach ensures consistent quality, scalable production, and a reliable year-round supply.
Fruit Orchards
National Basket owns and operates approximately 200 acres of high-density fruit orchards, comprising over 85,000 healthy fruit trees. These orchards produce more than 120,000 boxes annually, equivalent to over 2 million kilograms of apples and pears each year.
To meet growing market demand, the company is actively expanding its footprint through its Associated Farmers Program, with a targeted development of 1,000 acres of high-density orchards across Canada. This expansion strengthens supply consistency while supporting local growers through structured farm management and technical guidance.
Fresh Vegetables
National Basket cultivates over 27 varieties of fresh vegetables and herbs, carefully grown to meet the evolving demands of our supply chain and retail network.
Production is carried out through a combination of open-field farming and advanced greenhouse facilities, enabling year-round availability and consistent quality. Every crop is managed under strict quality standards to ensure freshness, taste, and nutritional value.
The company is further expanding its vegetable production capacity through its Associated Farmers Program, developing additional growing facilities in collaboration with partner farms.
Grain Production
National Basket also works closely with farmers under its Associated Farmers Program for the cultivation of wheat, pulses, and maize. These crops are grown across multiple field operations to support large-scale supply chain requirements.
Through strategic partnerships and consistent farm management practices, we ensure stable sourcing, quality control, and reliable market supply.
